Make Healthy Food Your Hobby

Shopping for Food and for Health

I love buying healthy food. But, we first must know what to buy. Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or carnivore, shopping MUST be done consciously. I am going to list the foods that I recommend for healthy eating.

Fresh

Organic Vegetables, fresh for salads, romaine, or mixed greens, red onions, red, yellow, or orange peppers, celery, shedded carrots and red cabbage.

Organic Beans, or Lentils, uncooked or in the can.

Organic Fruits, especially, any kind of berries, cherries, plums, apples, peaches, and oranges.

Organic Nuts and Seeds, walnuts, hemp, chia, and, sunflower seeds.

Organic Dried Fruits, dates, cranberries, raisins, gogi berries

Organic Vegetables, fresh and steamed

Grass-feed and Grass-finished beef

Organic chicken and turkey

Organic eggs

Frozen

Bread; buy Ezekiel Sprouted Bread or Manna Bread

Frozen Organic Vegetable and Fruits, frozen vegetables and fruit are very healthy and, can be healthier that fresh vegetables and fruits. I have noticed that many of the fresh produce is old. The bananas turn brown within days, apples are soft and mushy, and, the red peppers are old and soft.

Take your frozen vegetable and let them sit out of 10 minutes to defrost. You can put them in your cereals or salads.

Home Made

Soups are best homemade and you can retrieve good recipes on line or in your favourite cookbook.

I make my own granola. I get Gluten free, organic oats, nuts, dried fruits, coconut, and, whatever you like to put in there. Mix it with organic unfiltered apple juice. Place on cookie sheet for 20 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees.

Simple food plan

SOS. ........no SALT, no OIL, no SUGAR

Have Fun, Make it a Hobby

My eating journey has become a fun hobby. I love shopping for the foods and being creative and putting my food together to taste delicious.

Experiment…. Experiment … and… have fun.
